What a wonderful time I had exploring the art of wet into wet and transitions of colors.
This was a technique my teacher Yachiyo Beck used to explore colors and process. I love the outcome.
Have you ever just imagined yourself sitting by a stream daydreaming and taking in all the wonders of nature...... what a wonderful place to be in our minds, so peaceful. That is just where I was when I painted this very loose interpretation of Autumn. It was a new venture for me as I am a very tight watercolorist. But I had such fun that I am going to do more of this spontaneous painting. Feelings are important and I feel really good about this process.
I have selected to delve into the world of art in the fourth chapter of my life. I have always enjoyed art museums and the variety of interesting ways people express what they feel or see. My background is in finance and politics so this endeavor is a wonderful departure and enlightening experience. I truly enjoy the learning process. There is so much to understand and express through this medium. For now most of my work is in watercolors, a bit of mixed media and some acrylics. I have found this is a great way to network with other artists and share my work with friends. Please enjoy my work and watch it evolve.
